Buy the whole movie on iTunes here. Available world wide.

On location at Folgefonna, Norway
Folgefonna is a summer ski resort located on the west coast in Norway which has been a big part of Field Productions history. With an unique atmosphere in beautiful glacier surroundings Folgefonna is definitely a top class summer ski resort.

We gathered the talents Tom Wallisch, Aleksander Aurdal, Jesper Tjäder, Kim Boberg, Johan Berg, Anders Backe and Torstein Horgmo to shoot a big park feature in the resort.

Shooting in 3D
For the first time in Field Productions history we succesfully completed a shoot all shot in 3D. With several RED 3D setups, Moviebirds Flight Head gyro, an ambitious camera crew we went all in and did our best to capture spectacular 3D content for our upcoming release November 2013. This will result in a special extra feature for those of you that get your hands on the Blu-ray disc. Also be sure to check out the VGTV behind the scenes series coming this fall to see what went down on this shoot.

New project in the works
We are proud to announce that we are in the making of a full length film to be released November 2013. With two years in the making, this will be the biggest production in Field Productions history.

In the past eight years Field Productions has released ski films each fall. The latest project Being There (October 2011) won several international awards and it got great feedback world wide. The project had a total reach to over 5 million people. The time has come to put even more hours of hard work into documenting skiing and its personalities through an exciting two-year journey. To fulfill our ideas and goals we need more than one year to work with.

Behind the scenes web series
To keep you up to date of the production there will be released a behind the scenes web series both the fall of 2012 and the fall of 2013.

The athletes
We are fortunate to work with a group of hard working athletes who knows what it takes to get a best possible result. Here are a few quotes from some of them regarding the project:

I like the concept of a two-year project. It demands more, but opens a more complex storyline. It is a cool thing to follow athletes and their ideas, and see how they evolve and progress in a bit bigger setting. – Åsmund Thorsen

Everything we do together is with a goal to produce footage that will blow away the audience. With two years in the making we finally get the time to capture the best possible footage. – Even Sigstad and Jesper Tjäder

Two-year projects are hard, but if you do it right, it can be really sick for sure. I’m definitely in to work with Field Productions and get some bangers for this project. Tom Wallisch

It means more time for our crew to get every shot we want, and hopefully end up with a result that will get people smiling and turn some heads, both on skiing and cinematography. – Aleksander Aurdal

On location in Oslo, Norway
Urban skiing has always been a big part of our productions. This year we have been mainly shooting urban features in the eastern part of Norway with Even Sigstad, Jesper Tjäder and snowboarder Torstein Horgmo.

Check out the photos to the right for more action.

Link: Episode  1 – Sundsvall

Story: This was the first shoot of the season with the athletes Even Sigstad, Kim Boberg and Jesper Tjäder. The shots were taken in the city Sundsvall, Sweden. Jesper take some serious crashes, but at the same time he impresses the crew with his skills.

FP: Hey Jesper. How´s life? What are you up to these days?
JT:Hey. It’s good! I’m just chillin’ and getting prepared for the winter!

FP: What is a typical pre-season for you? How do you get ready for winter?
JT:A typical pre-season for me is when I train and ski a lot. I also watch a lot of ski movies so I can get inspired to try new tricks!

FP: You have been filming with Field Productions for one year now. How has it been like hanging with us Norwegians? Any particular episode/trip you want to mention that is memorable?
JT: It has been awesome! Field has a sick crew and they are super fun to ski/film with.
All the trips have been super fun. Especially the urban trips. In every trip I’ve learned some new tricks or landed a trick I’m really stoked about!

FP: The progression in skiing is very intense these days, both in the big mountain and in the park. Do you think skiing in general is progressing in the right direction? Do you prefer double/triple flips, or rather slower tricks with more style in it?
JT:I think skiing progressing in the right direction. I prefer doubles because I think it’s the funniest trick you can do, and it looks nice! But I think that the best is to combine doubles and style. I also like triples because it looks so crazy!

FP: Since you have been visiting Norway quite a lot. Tell us, what do you like about our country?
JT:I like the mountains, the people and the food(pizza).

FP: How was it to recieve the prize for ”Rooke of the year” at the International Freeski Film Festival 2011?
It feels awesome! It’s always nice when people appreciates my skiing.
JT: The prize feels pretty special and I worked hard the whole season to get all the shots to the movie, so I’m really happy!
