Oslo, Norway
This Saturday Norways biggest sports magazine Fri Flyt hosted Fri Flyt Awards 2012. Our web-tv series from 2011, Being There 2.0, won the prize for Best web-tv series.
We would like to thank everyone for voting and supporting our projects. More to come this November. In the meantime take a look at our series from 2011 below.
On location at Folgefonna, Norway
Folgefonna is a summer ski resort located on the west coast in Norway which has been a big part of Field Productions history. With an unique atmosphere in beautiful glacier surroundings Folgefonna is definitely a top class summer ski resort.
We gathered the talents Tom Wallisch, Aleksander Aurdal, Jesper Tjäder, Kim Boberg, Johan Berg, Anders Backe and Torstein Horgmo to shoot a big park feature in the resort.
Shooting in 3D
For the first time in Field Productions history we succesfully completed a shoot all shot in 3D. With several RED 3D setups, Moviebirds Flight Head gyro, an ambitious camera crew we went all in and did our best to capture spectacular 3D content for our upcoming release November 2013. This will result in a special extra feature for those of you that get your hands on the Blu-ray disc. Also be sure to check out the VGTV behind the scenes series coming this fall to see what went down on this shoot.

New project in the works
We are proud to announce that we are in the making of a full length film to be released November 2013. With two years in the making, this will be the biggest production in Field Productions history.
In the past eight years Field Productions has released ski films each fall. The latest project Being There (October 2011) won several international awards and it got great feedback world wide. The project had a total reach to over 5 million people. The time has come to put even more hours of hard work into documenting skiing and its personalities through an exciting two-year journey. To fulfill our ideas and goals we need more than one year to work with.
Behind the scenes web series
To keep you up to date of the production there will be released a behind the scenes web series both the fall of 2012 and the fall of 2013.
The athletes
We are fortunate to work with a group of hard working athletes who knows what it takes to get a best possible result. Here are a few quotes from some of them regarding the project:
I like the concept of a two-year project. It demands more, but opens a more complex storyline. It is a cool thing to follow athletes and their ideas, and see how they evolve and progress in a bit bigger setting. – Åsmund Thorsen
Everything we do together is with a goal to produce footage that will blow away the audience. With two years in the making we finally get the time to capture the best possible footage. – Even Sigstad and Jesper Tjäder
Two-year projects are hard, but if you do it right, it can be really sick for sure. I’m definitely in to work with Field Productions and get some bangers for this project. – Tom Wallisch
It means more time for our crew to get every shot we want, and hopefully end up with a result that will get people smiling and turn some heads, both on skiing and cinematography. – Aleksander Aurdal
